What does a volunteer do?

*Keep the students safe by training them how to properly use woodworking tools.
*Mentor the students in patience, persistence, and integrity in their work.
*Pass a background check
*Commit to a workshop time that fits your schedule
*Attend volunteer trainings to hone your skills both in woodworking and mentorship.
*Experience intrinsic fulfillment knowing you are investing in the lives of the next generation of skilled workers.

Here's what our current volunteers have to say about volunteering with the BCW.

"I love that it gives me the opportunity to share my passion for woodworking and guide these young kids. The look of pride on the kids' faces when they take home something they built is priceless. I can't think of a better way to spend my Friday evening than volunteering at BCW!" --Gayatri, volunteer with our Friday Beginners Class
